The key objectives of the Manitoba GrEEEn Trucking rebate program are to:
Further demonstrate Provincial commitment/leadership in promoting technology and innovation as a way to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from the freight transportation sector.
Help the private sector, through financial incentives, implement GHG emission reduction technologies.
Participants are required to invest a minimum of $2,000 in technologies to be eligible for rebates. These rebates range from 15 per cent up to 25 per cent (maximum $2,500 per unit) of the company's capital investment.
